Brand Strategy

Where everything begins. We tie what the brand says, who it says it to and why it's credible to a single karat — then every channel speaks from that karat.

Who this service is for

  • «Our product is good, but nobody understands the difference.»If the difference really exists, the problem isn't the product but the sentence that explains it. Without that sentence, the ad budget describes the product, not the difference.
  • «We look like a different brand on every channel.»If the voice on Instagram, the copy on the site and the note in the shipping box don't come from the same place, the karat has slipped. It's the picture we see most often.
  • «We can't sell without discounts.»If the share of full-price sales is low, it's the price talking, not the brand. This is the costliest-looking form of a strategy problem.

What's included

01Positioning

Reducing the place the brand holds in the customer's mind to a single sentence. A competitor must not be able to write the same sentence.

02Message architecture

The core promise, three supporting messages, and which one leads on which channel. Not a different tone per channel, a different emphasis.

03Category and competitor analysis

Which statements are already taken in the category, which space is empty. If no empty space can be found, a new one is opened.

04Audience segmentation

Not who it's sold to, but who buys and why. If the reason to buy is different, there are two separate segments.

05Brand voice and tone guide

What the brand laughs at, what it responds to, what it doesn't share. Written down so the voice doesn't change when the writer does.

0612-month roadmap

Which channel the karat rolls out to in which quarter. Changing everything at once makes a brand unrecognizable.

How we work

Diagnosis

Audit and data

Current perception, the competitive field and customer data come together in one report. Twenty live touchpoints are read one by one.

Definition

Setting the karat

Positioning comes down to one sentence, messages to one architecture, tone to one guide. Not a long document — a document that makes decisions.

Reach

One karat, every channel

Every touchpoint, from ads to packaging, starts speaking from the same karat. In order — the most seen first.

Strategy isn't a slide; it's the name of the decision every piece of content, every ad and every page makes.

What we measure

PerceptionUnaided awareness

Whether your brand is mentioned when people think of your category, and in what position. The answer that comes without an ad reminder.

ConsistencyKarat audit score

How many of twenty randomly chosen touchpoints say the same positioning.

Pricing powerFull-price sales share

How much of revenue comes without a promotion. A stronger brand needs discounts less.

DemandDirect traffic share

People who arrive by searching for the brand directly — the most honest measure of demand independent of advertising.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the strategy work take?

Diagnosis and definition fit into the first sixty days; rolling the karat out to every channel takes about a quarter. But by the end of the first thirty days you'll have your positioning statement — no need to wait.

We already have brand guidelines — are we starting from scratch?

No. First we put the existing guidelines next to what's actually been published. For most brands the problem isn't a missing guide but a guide and reality that don't match — closing that gap is faster than writing from scratch.

When the strategy changes, do our existing visuals go in the bin?

Not all of them. What fits the karat stays; what doesn't changes in the next production cycle. We don't recommend changing everything live overnight; making a brand unrecognizable is also a loss of karat.

Take it on its own, or as part of a partnership.

Brand Strategy can also be done as a standalone project: clear scope, clear timeline, no 12-month commitment. In a full partnership, it runs alongside the other work your brand needs, handled by the same team. We decide together on the discovery call which suits you.
