GEO — AI Search Visibility

Customers no longer ask "which brand should I buy?" in a search box but to ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity — and the answer is a single paragraph. If your name isn't in that paragraph, your ranking position no longer matters.

Who this service is for

  • «We do well on Google, but ChatGPT never mentions us.»Ranking in search and being mentioned in an AI answer aren't the same thing; answer engines choose their sources by other signals.
  • «Our competitor shows up in recommendations; we don't.»AI learns which brands to list in a category from how the brand is mentioned across the rest of the web.
  • «Customers research a lot before buying.»For considered, expensive or trust-heavy products, the question is now "which is the best?" — and the answer comes as a list.

What's included

01Visibility audit

A fixed set of questions customers in your category would ask; who gets mentioned in which answer engine, and with which source.

02Technical access

AI crawlers' access to the site, robots rules, llms.txt and machine-readable pages.

03Structured data

Product, organization, FAQ and contact information defined consistently with schema markup.

04Answer-first content

Comparison and guide pages that answer the question in the first sentence: content fit to be quoted.

05Source and citation network

The brand being mentioned correctly in third-party sources that answer engines trust — press, guides, forums.

06Entity consistency

The brand's name, description and details being identical everywhere. Conflicting information leads AI to skip the brand.

How we work

Audit

Where are we mentioned?

A question set is defined; the brand's and competitors' mention status in each answer engine is recorded.

Fix

Strengthening the source

Technical access, schema and content gaps are closed; sources where you should be cited are listed.

Monitoring

The same questions, every month

The question set is asked again unchanged; change is tracked in numbers.

A search engine shows ten links; AI gives a single answer. Not being in that answer is more invisible than being on page two.

What we measure

VisibilityMention rate

The percentage of questions in a fixed set where the brand appears in the answers.

BreadcrumbShare versus competitors

How often, and in what position, the brand is listed compared with competitors in the same answers.

SourceCited pages

Which pages answer engines cite as sources when they mention the brand.

TrafficAI-referred visits

Separating visits and sales from ChatGPT, Perplexity and similar tools in GA4.

What you get

Frequently asked questions

Will you get our brand to the top spot in ChatGPT?

No — nobody can guarantee that: answers vary by question, user and model. What we do is build the conditions that let answer engines find your brand, understand it correctly and trust it — and show the results in numbers every month using the same set of questions.

How is it different from SEO — do we need both?

The foundation is shared: an accessible, fast, well-structured site. The difference is the yardstick — SEO looks at rankings and clicks, GEO at being mentioned within the answer. GEO can't be built on weak SEO, which is why we handle both together for most brands.

How soon will we see results?

The effect of technical fixes shows within weeks; content and citation work takes months. Answer engines update their sources at different speeds, so we take a baseline measurement in the first month and report change against that line.

Take it on its own, or as part of a partnership.

GEO — AI Search Visibility can also be done as a standalone project: clear scope, clear timeline, no 12-month commitment. In a full partnership, it runs alongside the other work your brand needs, handled by the same team. We decide together on the discovery call which suits you.
